Cheerful Bright Colours
It's been so dull lately with so much rain that the garden is completely waterlogged. But Spring is just around the corner and so, to celebrate, here's some more bunting, this time in some lovely bright colours!

Redecorating
I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted. There is a valid reason though; I have been working on a new project and will reveal all soon! In the meantime, I thought I would show you a throw/quilt that I made.

It fits beautifully on Little one's white cotbed, but would also be lovely as a play mat. The backing is soft white fleece, so it can be used in a pushchair, it's quite versatile!

Little one took for first one for her bed, so I made a second, which sold and now I'm making another in Cath Kidston fabric with pinks, reds and a soft green.
I'd love to make a double size one for my bed. My bedroom is due for a redec soon. We are trying to go through the house and complete all the little jobs that have been left, but finding that they have been left so long that each room now needs completely re doing! I love Cath Kidston, Laura Ashley and anything Shabby Chic so it's difficult trying to get all those to go together! The porch has been the first place to get the makeover treatment. Husband took up the old floor tiles and put down some new creamy ivory ones that we just happened to 'find' whilst tidying the garage! (I think they are left over from the kitchen when I miscalculated how many we would need and we bought twice as many as we needed!) Anyway, he has made a great job of the tiles and it looks so much fresher out there, that was until little came in wearing her muddy wellies! Ho-hum! Just need to find a new doormat now!
I shall post some 'corners of my home' pics as we go along.
Also wanted to show you another Hobby Horse I made for an order. This one went to USA so hopefully is happy in her new home!

Crochet for beginners
For anyone interested in taking up crochet, there is a great magazine out here. You get the magazine, two balls of wool and a crochet hook all for 99p! Of course I already know how to crochet and I thought it may be a bit basic but I've actually learnt a new stitch, this textured stitch.

It's basically one row of dc and then the next row is 1 dc and 1 tr repeated. I've used the chunky yarn provided and it looks gorgeous in this raspberry colour. The photos look a little dark, sorry! It's the lack of natural light lately.

The idea is to build up squares to make a throwover. Just the job to keep you warm, although still no snow here yet!

Seeing Stars!
Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping warm in the big freeze! I was hoping to post some beautiful photos of snow but as yet we seem to have escaped the worst of it. We had a fairly heavy snow shower last week but most of it has melted now. Just cold weather and patches of ice.
I have been busy with more bunting orders this week. I was sure I had already posted this picture but obviously not, just thought I had but didn't! Anyway, it's a 10m length of Cath Kidston Stars and Gingham, bit of a marathon but lovely all the same!

More snow is forecast, so perhaps I can post some pictures soon!

Christmas Cooking
Hi all, I took some time in between sewing to make up my Mincemeat!

It's this recipe, which is a good old Delia one, so I am hoping it should taste good. She has two recipes on her website and this is the cranberry one. It was all mixed in a bowl, then put in the oven on a low temperature and it made the whole house smell of Christmas!
